History

Revisio is a 2D drafting tool, which allows CADAM or CATIA users to import and migrate their mainframe models directly to Client/Server PDM systems. Although many CAD systems have improved beyond Revisio’s capabilities, the application is still effectively in use at Fortune 500 companies, 25 years after the product was initially developed.

 

Who uses Revisio?

Originally developed as educational software for computer-aided design (CAD), Revisio allowed users to gain valuable design experience without consuming expensive seat time on mainframe CADAM. As personal computers were becoming mass produced, Revisio became an affordable CAD alternative to CADAM and CATIA and was deployed at companies such as John Deere, Black & Decker, and TRW.
