Mashups Could Eliminate Swivel-Chair Integrations
Raleigh, NC, January 11, 2010 – Integrated Industrial Information, Inc. (I-Cubed), the Engineering Business Integration (EBI) Company, announces formation of a strategic partnership with Convertigo, Inc., a global leader in Enterprise Mashups. Convertigo’s software will allow I-Cubed to integrate their customers’ ERP, PLM, CRM, and CMS systems into a seamless application interface for Web2.0 initiatives.
Developers know all too well the “swivel-chair” integration required to combine two or more enterprise systems. Typically, integrations of multiple enterprise systems require tightly woven APIs and customized scripts that only last until the next software release. Mashups allow coding to be soft-wired from the native systems, similar to widgets, and allows information to be presented as a single, seamless interface, comparable to a dashboard user experience.
Global Healthcare Company Selects Raleigh-based I-Cubed
Raleigh, NC, December 15, 2009 – Integrated Industrial Information, Inc. (I-Cubed), the Engineering Business Integration (EBI) company, announces the launch of their hosted product lifecycle management (PLM) practice for Windchill®, the business collaboration software that enables development efficiencies and reduces errors and rework.
In the past, outsourcing enterprise PLM to an application service provider (ASP) has been the exception in the marketplace and not the rule, since product information is usually very confidential. Typical enterprise PLM deployments are so highly customized that the installations are complex and lengthy. I-Cubed’s approach makes the ASP option an attractive alternative. “We were able to meet a very aggressive schedule for a global healthcare company that required deployment in weeks instead of months,” said Robin Yates, Director, Emerging Technologies at I-Cubed. “We believe that providing a hosted solution for PLM helps companies stay focused on product development and innovation versus worrying about IT.”

I-Cubed will be presenting on Digital Rights Management and Critical Success Factors of CAD Data Migration.
I-Cubed is developing a customer driven migration solution for Pro/I 3.x customers and is actively seeking partners and beta customers. The solution being developed is a customer driven solution as opposed to a services driven solution.
For the beta program I-Cubed is looking for customers who want to go from Pro/I 3.4 to Windchill PDMLink 9, have around 5,000-20,000 files, and a do-it-yourself attitude. Latest only CAD data migration is a requirement for the beta program.
A customer who signs-up for the beta program will receive our software and our dedicated support to walk them through their entire migration. We are limiting the beta period to 15 customers.
Integrated Industrial Information, Inc. (I-Cubed), the Engineering Business Integration (EBI) company, announced today the formation of its Rights Management Practice (RMP). Since 1984, I-Cubed has developed solutions that maximize the tremendous potential of engineering assets across the enterprise and is now extending EBI into digital rights management.
“The globalization of product development brings with it the need for updated and enhanced security measures to protect intellectual property,” says I-Cubed Vice President of Technology and Services, Mark Winnie. “Our goal is to provide a portfolio of solutions to assist corporations with their rights management initiatives.”
A lesson Donald Thompson learned early in his career was that, if you can deliver results, people will find a place for you.
“I saw an opportunity to make an impact,” says Thompson, president and member of the board of directors of Integrated Industrial Information Inc. (I-Cubed). Thompson, who joined I-Cubed as a sales representative in 1996, showed his motivation and willingness to learn. This did not go unnoticed by founder and former president Grant Williard, who honored his commitment to prepare Thompson for potential career advancements.
