Enterprise Mashups

Eliminate Swivel-Chair Integrations

So what is a mashup?
A mashup is when two or more web sites (or applications) that may not have been intended to be used side by side, are merged (mashed) into one seamless interface.

Why use a mashup?

Typically, integrations of multiple enterprise systems require tightly woven APIs and customized scripts that only last until the next software release. Mashups allow coding to be soft-wired from the native systems, similar to widgets, and allows information to be presented as a single, seamless interface, comparable to a dashboard user experience.

Who uses mashups?
We have all used a mashup, but probably didn't know it by that funny name. The last time you searched for the best price on that new tool or piece of jewelry on the web and used the site’s store locater and map to locate the location closest to you, you used a mashup.

How it all works
Say you have a mainframe for some information that you access regularly, you use the web for other purposes and you access other information on your favorite desktop application. Is it possible to mash all those together into one seamless process? Yes, I-Cubed can mash all those separate, unstructured or structured sources and present it in a very attractive user interface using Convertigo's Enterprise Mashup Server.
