Donald A. Thompson Jr., President and CEO of I-Cubed, has been invited by the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants to speak to their Firm Administrators Group on Thursday, February 16 on the topic of time management. Donald’s interactive session will explore the concepts in his soon to be released eBook, Time Choices, which include managing interruptions, communicating priorities and setting boundaries. This presentation will be given at Bernard Robinson and Company in Greensboro, NC and is closed to the public.
I-Cubed CEO to Speak to Budding Entrepreneurs
Donald A. Thompson, Jr., President and CEO of I-Cubed has been selected to speak to North Carolina State University’s Introductory to Entrepreneurship classes taught by Jennifer Capps, a member of the startup team for the Entrepreneurship Initiative. On Wednesday, November 16, 2011, Donald will discuss his personal story and how his experiences have impacted his entrepreneurial career. Donald will also answer questions from the students and share details on some of the companies with which he is involved. This presentation is open only to registered students of the classes.
I-Cubed Presents at PTC RUG Event in Cary, NC
Devon Wilkins, Business Development Manager, will represent I-Cubed at the annual fall event for the Parametric Technology Corportation (PTC®) Regional User Group (RUG) of the Carolinas. PTC RUGs are independent, non-profit organizations dedicated to improving communication between Pro/ENGINEER users in North and South Carolina. During the presentation, Devon will provide the audience an overview of I-Cubed’s newest migration toolkit, Legend 10™, which I-Cubed has developed for PTC’s customers migrating their CAD data into PTC’s Windchill 10. I-Cubed Selected to Speak at NCSU Tech Talk
Tony Pease, VP of Business Development and Greg Boone, Senior Software Engineer at I-Cubed will speak to NC State University students on November 8, 2011. During the talk, Accelerated Mobile Application Development with Convertigo, they will provide an overview of a cutting-edge development platform used to create and deploy secure mobile applications with engaging user experiences. This technology allows you to integrate and rapidly deploy native applications to major mobile platforms and is taking the development cycle to days vs. months. I-Cubed will show how understanding this type of technology gives students a competitive edge among professional developers. I-Cubed is currently using this technology to accelerate our solution delivery and will describe an opportunity for students to get involved I-Cubed’s Convertigo launch. This talk is open to all NC State University students and will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 6pm at Centennial Campus, EBII Room 1231.

Tony Pease, VP Business Development, will speak to students at SKEMA, a French-based business school with a U.S. campus located in Raleigh, NC. Students in SKEMA’s Marketing and Innovation course are interested to learn how companies differentiate themselves through innovation and adapt themselves in an international environment. Tony will present students with an overview of I-Cubed, provide examples of I-Cubed’s innovative offerings, and also offer career advice to students as they prepare to enter international business careers. I-Cubed is one of a select group of PTC Partners chosen to present at PlanetPTC Live in Las Vegas on June 12 – 17, 2011. Robin Yates, Director of Emerging Technologies at I-Cubed, will be co-presenting with Roy Whittenburg, Project Manager at Universal Technical Resources Services, Inc. (UTRS) on the topic of Model Based Definition within Creo/Elements Pro environments. The PlanetPTC Live event in Las Vegas is part of a global event series that combines education, information, and access for product developers using PTC’s technology.
I-Cubed to Attend CIC in Denver
Robin Yates, Director of Emerging Technologies at I-Cubed, will attend an international conference in Denver, CO held by the Collaboration and Interoperability Congress (CIC) on May 23 – 25, 2011. The event will be attended by experts from various manufacturing industries including government and defense representatives. It will focus on important elements of modern manufacturing practices such as collaboration and interoperability with 3D data. The CIC is a CAD-neutral consortium of global business leaders interested in the latest strategies, best practices and solutions in the engineering field.
I-Cubed Employee to Attend BOCA Event in Germany
Jason Harrell, Senior Software Engineer at I-Cubed, will visit Harrisburg, Germany during the week of May 9 – 13, 2011 for a PTC Board of Customer Advisors (BOCA) event. He will be presenting demos of new features in Windchill Workgroup Manager 9.1 M062 and collecting customers’ feedback on usability and their suggestions for new features. BOCA is a committee of leaders from global companies in various industries who meet regularly to discuss strategic Windchill product initiatives.

Robin Yates, Director of Emerging Technologies at I-Cubed, will be co-presenting at the Model Based Enterprise (MBE) Supplier Education and Training Summit on February 22, 2011 with Roy Whittenburg, Project Manager at Universal Technical Resources Services, Inc. (UTRS). During the presentation, Robin will introduce SuppliPack 2.0, a solution that accelerates technical data package creation with support for Model Based Definition and allows secure access using Digital Rights Management. The MBE Summit will be an all-day event intended to educate domestic defense suppliers about the ongoing development of MBE technology.
