The intern program at I-Cubed provides students with a unique opportunity to have an integral role in the company. We are given challenging projects that force us to learn and be creative. I am able to apply the business and human resources knowledge I learned in class, build on my previous work experience, and expand my skill-set.

I chose to work for I-Cubed in order to gain experience with several different CAD tools that I hope to use later in industry. Through this experience I will gain real world skills to help me succeed in future endeavors, while remaining on campus.

As a promising company in the high-tech industry, I-Cubed provides a combination of professionalism at work and a relaxed atmosphere among colleagues. It is very fulfilling to work in an environment that demands a high level of trust and respect among employees and managers. Also, I enjoy having responsibilities similar to those expected from a full-time employee. Performing tasks that directly impact the functionality of the business is challenging, yet rewarding, while allowing me to grow as a professional.

I chose to work at I-Cubed because I wanted to gain exposure to facets of Mechanical Engineering that I was not familiar with. I also felt that the knowledge of WindChill and the various CAD systems that I would gain from this internship would be advantageous, no matter what career direction I choose. I-Cubed also seemed to have a pleasant working environment, while still providing a challenging experience.

My position at I-Cubed gives me the opportunity to use a wide variety of skills I have accumulated in school and apply them to real-world situations. Even though I am using my business training for my current product management position, I am working close enough to the product and developers that my engineering background is being challenged as well.

This was a great opportunity to gain real work experience that I could not pass up. I am being challenged daily to apply what I know and learn what I don't know. This job is giving me the benefit of working with design and pair-programming, along with the job of implementation. These are all tasks that I feel will be valuable later on in my field.

I am a graduate student in computer science at N.C. State, and I am currently enjoying working as a software engineering intern at I-Cubed. So far, I have had the opportunity to tackle some interesting problems.

I-Cubed has been both an extremely challenging and rewarding experience.  I am glad that I chose to work here during the semester, because it has given me an excellent opportunity to work into discovering and developing solutions for real-world problems. Every day I am learning something new and valuable whether it is in technical development or in personal management. I appreciate the unique management style and have learned much about working in a small-business environment.
