Our typical Legend solution involves three separate service engagements

  • Migration Scoping
  • The Legend Quickstart
  • And Gold Support

Migration Scoping
Migration scoping is the first of the three service engagements. Migration scoping usually takes place at the customer site and lasts between 3 days to 1 week depending on the complexity of your migration. During migration scoping an I-Cubed Implementation Consultant will do a deep dive into your existing systems, goals for your new system, migration goals, and your concerns.

Our Implementation Consultant will investigate your existing systems including the physical hardware environment, current data management practices with your soon to be legacy systems, and existing personnel skills and availability for the migration project. We make sure to understand how your existing systems operate with each other and how your data is managed with special considerations for migration such as data export methods, metadata retrieval methods, revision requirements and identification, and migration staging requirements.

Once our Implementation Consultant has completed the migration scoping we provide a summary of our findings. The summary includes recommendations to help ensure your migration activity unfolds smoothly and on schedule, and requirements that need to be completed before migration activity can begin.

The Legend Quickstart
The Legend Quickstart is the second of the three service engagements. This services component typically comes one to three weeks after the Migration Scoping. The gap between service engagements allows for any issues or open questions found during the migration scoping to be resolved. The Quickstart is one or two weeks long depending on the complexity of your migration and the amount of CAD systems you are migrating.

During the Legend Quickstart our Implementation Consultants will ensure Legend has been installed and configured properly for your environment and migration plan. A full trial run from data export (if required), to data cleansing, to data loading, and finally data validation will be performed on a sample set of your data. Before we leave we ensure you are setup for success with our tools to complete your migration. In addition, we will help you learn to troubleshoot and set you up with a customer care account. By the time we leave you and your team will be well versed with Legend and the migration process.

Gold Support
The Gold Support services block is peace of mind during your production migration. By taking advantage of our Gold Support you ensure that our migration experts including consultants and software developers are on dedicated stand-by to attack any migration issues that may come up during your production migration. On-site and off-site packages are available. If you have tight migration schedules and a complex environment then Gold Support may be right for you.
